Experience:

In July 2002, he was invited to participate in the 3rd Session of International Conference on Mathematics Education and Cultural Communication and delivered the report on Mathematics and Artistic Achievements in “Yingzao Fashi (Treatise on Architectural Methods or State Building Standards)” in Kyoto, Japan. 

In September 2002, he was invited to participate in the 46th Session of International Conference on Housing and Planning Alliance in Tianjin, China.

In October 2002, he was invited to participate in the 4th Session of International Conference on Modern Architectural History and Heritage Protection in East Asia and made the report on “The Hidden Language - A Study of Interlanguage in Chinese and Western Architectural Cultural Exchanges” in Shanghai, China.

In July 2004, he was invited to take part in the Ninth Seminar on Modern Architecture and delivered the speech on “The Distribution and Characteristics of Chinese Diaolou Residential Houses” in Kaiping City, Guangdong Province, China.

In June 2007, he was invited to take part in the 4th Session of International Symposium on Chinese Architectural Historiography and gave a speech on “The History of Modern Chinese Cities in the World Vision” in Shanghai, China.

In December 2008, he was invited to participate in the 2008 International Conference on Traditional Residence and Environment and gave a speech on “Other Modernities: Rise of A Japanese Colonial Capital City, 1932-1937” in Oxford, UK.

In June 2009, he was invited to participate in the 2009 Annual Conference for Seoul Research Council- Korea Research Center for the University of Berkeley and gave a speech on “Constructing Ethnicity: Making and Remaking Korean-Chinese Rural Houses in Yanbian, 1881-2008”in Seoul, South Korea.
